QMUNITY Wish List

(updated as of January 8, 2012)

QMUNITY is funded by various levels of government, corporate sponsorships, individual donations and community fundraising, however, there is rarely room in our annual operating budget to buy new equipment or furniture. We often make do with old technology and run-down furnishings but, even we have to admit when it is time to retire old, inefficient and or downright ugly items. The items on the list below have been identified by QMUNITY staff and volunteers as things that we really need now in order to better serve our community. If you own but no longer have a use for any of the items on the list below, or if you are in a position to purchase any of these items for us, you can make a huge positive difference. We can issue a tax receipt for donations of items that have a current market value of $25 or more. Thank you.

  • a small upright or chest freezer (we often receive donated frozen foods which we use at events and workshops but we only have the small freezer above our fridge and too often donated food spoils)
  • convection oven (to effectively cook/heat up the aforementioned donated foods for events and workshops)
  • new or very gently used furniture (please note that at the moment we particularly need a desk and office chair and waiting area chairs
  • a flat screen TV
  • Rubbermaid style storage bins
  • small carpet shampooer
  • Display cases for bulletins and posters
  • Canadian Tire money
  • Financial donations
  • Gift cards
  • Books- only the titles pre-selected by our librarians. These can be found on our Amazon.ca wish list www.amazon.ca/qp/registry/3B3UDFRXLFPH0

Please note that we very much appreciate you thinking of us when you have items to donate. However, at this time we can only accept items that appear on our Wish List.
