QMUNITY is pleased to present a sneak peek at our upcoming ‘I Heart My Chest’ program: a series of resources that seek to promote upper body health for Trans folk of all genders, and for Butch-identified Queer women.
‘I Heart My Chest’ will include a print resource developed in conjunction with community members and service providers, a series of workshops, and three short films, which you can view here!
These films are produced by Isabelle Swiderski, film student at Pull Focus non-profit film school, and QMUNITY would like to thank Isabelle, Pull Focus, Seven25 Design, and the amazing actors, crew and other community members who created these beautiful films. We would also like to thank the Health Sciences Association of British Columbia for their financial support.
The purpose of I Heart My Chest is to promote upper body health to two very diverse groups of people in the community who all too often experience, stigma, shame, or simply lack of available and inclusive information that can stand in the way of having a positive relationship with and looking after the health of their chests. We want to celebrate all bodies, and encourage greater health and well-being in our community!
If you would like more information about ‘I Heart My Chest’, or to ensure that you’re alerted when we officially launch the campaign, including print resource and workshops, please contact QMUNITY at education@qmunity.ca or 604 684 5307 ext 112
