Gab puts on many special events each year with our Youth Advisory Committee. Youth from all over Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley come to these events, even from as far as Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Gab teams up with other organizations serving queer youth, like the Fraser Valley Youth Society and the RAYnbow LGBT Youth Drop, to make these events a huge success.

Gab events are open to all youth 25 and under. We have close to 400 youth come to our Queer Prom and Pride Youth Dances and close to 150 youth come to our holiday dances. You do not have to come to our drop-ins in order to join in. Also, you do not have to be queer – allies are more than welcome!

Here are some of the events that we throw each year:

· Anti-Valentine’s Day / Spring Dance (held at VIVO Media Arts Studio)

· Queer Prom (in June, held at the West End Community Centre)

· Pride Youth Dance (in August)

· Halloween Dance (held at VIVO Media Arts Studio)

We also organize youth open mics and cabarets throughout the year. Talk with one of Gab staff if you want to get involved in the event planning.
