There are many different ways that Gab can provide support. You can drop by the Gab office on Mondays to Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. or on Fridays from 3 – 10 p.m. If you’re feeling nervous, you can give us a call and we can meet with you somewhere else like your school or a coffee shop so we can chat with you one on one.
Gab provides one-to-one peer support, which is different from counselling as we are able to reflect on our own experiences about being part of the many queer communities. We don’t give advice, but we are great listeners and can help you with working through barriers around coming out, alcohol and drug support, safer sex, and even things that do not have to do with your sexual orientation or gender identity.
As well, we can help you with advocacy concerns if you are having problems at school or work.
