For Immediate Release Friday September 8, 2017 The QMUNITY Board of Directors announces that CJ Rowe has accepted an opportunity at another organization, and will be leaving QMUNITY effective immediately. The Board would like to thank CJ for all of their work in the past year. “We are sad to see CJ go,” says Board Chair, Morgan Camley. “However, we are excited for the new opportunities this presents and wish CJ all the best in their new role.” The Board has engaged an executive search firm with experience in nonprofits to help identify the best candidates for the position. In the meantime, transition arrangements have been established to oversee operations. “There are so many exciting developments on the horizon for QMUNITY—not least of which is the construction of our new building,” says Camley. The new executive director will be in charge of shepherding the development of the new QMUNITY space located at Davie and Burrard. About QMUNITY QMUNITY is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, BC that works to improve queer, trans, and Two-Spirit lives.
