Our major annual benefit is the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia Breakfast. At this event, over 400 passionate supporters who share our vision of vibrant, diverse, and celebrated queer, trans, and Two-Spirit communities, where individuals live their lives fully, free from discrimination.

International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia Breakfast (IDAHOT)

Since 2004, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia breakfast attracts an enthusiastic crowd of community, business, and political leaders. IDAHOT continues to hold a place of prominence on Vancouver’s community calendar. With an official proclamation from the City of Vancouver, movers and shakers from many different organizations, corporations, and sectors celebrate and commit to the life-changing work QMUNITY undertakes.

The 21st annual International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia Breakfast will take place on May 15, 2026.

QMUNITY offers 365 days a year of programming and services to improve queer, trans, and Two-Spirit lives through support, connection, and leadership.

Support

QMUNITY’s Gender Supportive Wear Program provides free gender-affirming chest-wear to trans and gender-variant youth. We support youth to excel and continue to work to lower all barriers to full participation in society.

Connection

QMUNITY is a hub for all queer, trans, and Two-Spirit individuals to develop meaningful connections through age-specific programming, peer-facilitated groups, special events, queer competent counselling and relevant volunteering opportunities.

Leadership

QMUNITY works to increase visibility, contribute expertise to local, national, and international issues and initiatives, publish timely queer, trans, and Two-Spirit cultural commentary, and foster knowledge sharing through education and outreach.
