QMUNITY’s Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding our organization’s vision, governance, and long-term sustainability. Board members work in partnership with staff and community to ensure QMUNITY continues to serve 2SLGBTQIA+ people across BC with care, accountability, and integrity.
Joining the Board is an opportunity to contribute your skills, lived experience, and perspective to an organization committed to equity, community wellbeing, and social change. Board members are part of a collaborative team that values thoughtful decision-making, shared responsibility, and learning together.
If you are passionate about supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and want to help shape the future of QMUNITY, we invite you to consider joining our Board.
At the moment the QMUNITY Board is fully staffed. We do however anticipate vacancies in 2027, and are always interested in strong candidates. Skills that are particularly helpful include:
HR knowledge
Legal skills
Communications skills
Finance and accounting skills
Knowledge of the types of services we provide and lived experience of the communities we serve
We also welcome board candidates who continue to broaden our representation, in particular Indigenous or Two-spirit candidates.
