Dempsey Watson is our new Operations Coordinator!
Dempsey is a queer, mixed-race Japanese Canadian who brings to QMUNITY over 7 years of administration experience and a personal passion for social justice. He has worked in a variety of sectors, including hospitality and fashion.
Most recently, Dempsey worked at the Powell Street Festival Society, a Vancouver non-profit that celebrates Japanese Canadian arts and culture in the Downtown Eastside.
When he is not typing away behind an Excel spreadsheet, you can probably find him at the library (trying out new genres) in his kitchen (experimenting with miso and mirin), or scoping out new kitchen gadgets he doesn’t need.
