How to Honour Truth & Reconciliation Day 2025

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, communities across BC and Canada will come together for the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. This is a time to honour Survivors of Residential Schools, remember those who never came home, and commit to reconciliation in our everyday lives.

Ways to Take Action

  • Read the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission

  • Learn about support services in your community

  • Attend a local Indigenous-led event

  • Purchase and wear an Indigenous-designed orange shirt (not just on Sept. 30)

  • Donate to a local Indigenous organization

  • Listen to the stories and teachings of Indigenous Elders

Where to Get Orange Shirts

Buying your shirt from Indigenous artists and organizations directly supports their work and communities.
