purpose built space

13,000sqft
for
queer,
trans,
and
Two-Spirit
communities
across
BC.
But we need your help to get there. That is why we’re launching a fundraising campaign called ‘It Takes a QMUNITY” to furnish, complete, and bring this new home to life for our communities to find hope and safety.
A dream 40+ years in the making
Since 1978, QMUNITY has been a lifeline for 2SLGBTQIA+ people across BC. Our space at 1170 Bute Street has been a place of care, love, and healing. But it has also been too small, inaccessible, and in deteriorating condition. Our communities deserve better.
Our future new home at 981 Davie Street will mark the beginning of a new era of community care, belonging, and connection.

Core capacity to sustain our growing community hub.

Expanding affirming care programs, intergenerational events, outreach, and referral services.
Furnishing & Technology (40.6%)
Equipping program rooms, counselling spaces, and the social lounge, plus technology for virtual programming and province-wide connection.
