Need to update your legal name or gender marker? Renew an expired (or soon-to-expire) BC ID, driver’s licence, or BC Services Card? We’ve got you covered. ICBC and QMUNITY are running an ID Renewal Clinic on May 13th.

This clinic is by appointment only, and spots are limited.

This mobile clinic is for all 2SLGBTQIA+ folks looking for help with ID services from ICBC.

Please Note

For folks changing their name, an official legal name change must be processed first before you can change your name on your ICBC ID. If you still need to change your legal name, please check out our Trans ID Clinic.

What Should I Bring?

• Primary ID

• Secondary ID

• Proof of name change

• Birth Certificate with updated gender marker

Who can attend the clinic?

• 2SLGBTQIA+ folks

• If your ID is expiring within 6 months of the clinic date 

• If you have had a legal name change and need to update your BC ID

• If you need to change your gender marker

What ID can you renew?

• BC Driver’s Licence

• BC Service Card

• BC ID

Can I drop in to change my ID?

• The clinic is by appointment only. Please make an appointment before attending

Does the clinic cost anything?

• Driver's licence renewal: $75

• Driver's licence duplicate: $17 (if not up for renewal)

• BC ID (renewal or duplicate): $15

• BC Service Card: Free
